
HOW TO CONSIGN
CONSIGNMENT:
Redefined Charleston is currently accepting consignments from within and beyond the Charleston area. If you are located within the Charleston area and are interested in consigning your gently used designer or vintage clothing, shoes, handbags, or jewelry, please contact the store to schedule a consignment appointment, which is required for all first time consignors. If you are located outside the Charleston area and are interested in consigning with Redefined, we are happy to pay to ship your approved items to the store. Pictures of the items you wish to consign can be emailed to the store (redefinedcharleston@gmail.com) and we will contact you to arrange shipping for the items that are approved.
At the time of your initial consignment appointment, the details of the the consignment contract will be discussed and all questions will be answered. As well, we will review your items and select the items that we can accept to sell in the store. If you reside outside the Charleston area, we will discuss the consignment policy by phone and will review your items via photographs submitted by email.
CONSIGNMENT POLICY:
Redefined will determine the sale price of reserves the right to refuse any item. Any items that are exceptionally high value items should be pointed out. After your initial consignment appointment, items can be dropped off at the store without an appointment to be reviewed at a later time. Any items deemed unacceptable for consignment will be returned.
The consignor will receive 50% of the sale price of each item. The price of each item may be reduced up to 25% for the last 30 days of the consigment period. All items are subject to special sales and promotions.
The consignment period is 90 days and the balance for all items sold during the 90-day period will be paid by check in the store at the end of the consignment period. Checks will be mailed to out-of-town consignors. Consignors are always welcome to use their balance as store credit at any point during the consignment period. Any unsold items can be picked up or potentially re-consigned at the end of the 90-day period. Redefined requests that you provide at least 24-hour notice when you wish to pick up your items at the end of the consignment period. Any items left in the store beyond 110 days without prior arrangements will become the property of Redefined.
